Biden's FBI
Political police
To illustrate how the FBI is being used by this administration, I played around with the wording. The balance is not on level. The shield: flipping the red and white stripes gets you Joe’s iconic E from his official campaign’s logo and so on.
This page looked a bit naked without text. And I feel I might have to justify why I’d rather not write about my cartoons or just as little as possible. Cartoons should be self-explanatory. It’s not always easy, because the context for a political cartoon can be quite complex, you might need a few to unfold a viewpoint. You can’t always sum a thousand words in a single image. But sometimes you might say more when an informed audience gets every detail and reference in your image.
I try to say in a shot what others might write about in a more serious and analytical manner. Most of my cartoons take longer than it would take to write about its content. I might add my own twist and impressions to it, bring the darkness into the light with a smile or a laugh, as often as possible. That’s what I try to do.
Some context for this catoon:
The FBI hasn’t been suddenly weaponized into a political police out of the blue.
Hoover was known to keep files on every influential person. What might be new is the latter blatant use of the agency to abuse opponents. There is no hiding it anymore. Except for the spin in the media, for the masses. It has become the Dem’s political police. An organ of the party.
The team raiding Mar-a-Lago seems to be the same responsible for Crossfire Hurricane. They could be concerned that DJT had compromising files on their spying and interference op.
Then trust the media to roll out the official narratives and spin the ordered raid in Joe’s favor, because Orange man bad and Russia-Russia-Russia is still a thing apparently. The media, as everyone knows, are another organ of the party.
Then ask Big Tech to filter out, censor, throttle down and ban the dissenting voices as disinformation, and you can find Psaki confirming they asked Facebook to do more. It’s the new normal thing to do, Americans are not entitled to form their own opinions from a diverse flow of information anymore. If you disagree, you’re a conspiracy theorist. Big Tech acts as one more organ of the party.
Interviewed by Joe Rogan, Zuckerbucks pointed a finger at the FBI for suppressing the New York Post Hunter Laptop story as “Russian disinfo”. I called this one FBI ZUCKS…
The inquisition is on. Dissent is blasphemy. You might get purged from the platform, banned. Expelled from the FakeBook Church. I also considered Fake Book of Inquisition there, but it could have triggered some fake Zealots making it about the Book instead of Facebook. It’s not the point here, obviously.
Late in the game, before the 2020 presidential election there was a lot of noise and Congress hearings on Big Tech’s bias and abuse, attacking free speech, under the protection of section 230. A lot came out that should have been addressed. And then nothing happened. A posteriori we understand that some lied under oath, but they’ll spin it differently, like Zucks.
The GOP establishment didn’t act and too often remains mostly silent on pressing issues, for whatever reason. The bravest ones get viciously attacked for any strategic strong criticism. Some get multiple Swatting or worse. The former president and allies are under constant attack. SCOTUS judges get intimidated on record by other lawmakers. Whatever mainstream R (RINOS?) pretend, they seem to choose to comfortably cruise along, no waves please.
Are we seeing the duopoly party on its way to become a consensus banana republic with just enough opposition theater to pretend it is not?
It looks like One party with way too many organs, as even mainstream GOP gets metabolized on decisive issues. I might be wrong, but that’s my impression at this point.
